Kate is a rare breed, a Hungarian Fajta. Hungarian horses are considered to be a national treasure of Hungary, bred for over a thousand years to be outstanding war horses. Her dam is a direct decendant of these horses, and was herself a champion hunter, 100-mile endurance horse, a grand prix level dressage horse, and as gentle as they come. Her sire is a Dutch Warmblood, a grandson of Rampal, who was one of the top 200 dressage horses in the world. Kate is a very talented hunter, and is an easy and uncomplicated ride for beginners through advanced hunter and equitation riders. Despite being nearly a hand smaller than the average hunter, she is unchallenged by courses up to 3’0″. Kate is also level 4 natural horsemanship, trick trained, a solid 1st level dressage horse, a steady trail mount, and the best bridleless horse in the barn.

Katmai is a character you will never forget. He is the typical pony, always pulling one of his mischievous pranks. He is a favorite among our young riders, not only for his perfect size, but for his sense of humor. He is a cross between an Arabian pinto pony stallion and a Half-Arabian, Half American Shetland mare. His sire, RF Rambo, was a very special stallion with many championships and hundreds of champion foals, including Katmai. He has a wonderful, kind temperament and is a great teacher for beginners through advanced young riders. He excels as a hunter over fences and under saddle, but also is trained in dressage to 2nd level, pleasure, and is level 4 in Parelli Natural Horsemanship. He is an amazing bridleless horse and is trick trained to smile, say yes and no, stand on a pedestal, lay down, and sit on command. He is a one-in-a-million kind of guy.

Magic has a big heart that is made of solid gold. Although most people are intimidated by her size at first, it doesn’t take them long to realize that Magic is a gentle giant. She is the perfect mount for a beginner, and is the best confidence builder in the barn. She is quiet and mellow, smooth and easy. She is infinitely tolerant of mistakes but at the same time will wait until you get it right before she gives you the response that you want. She is the perfect teacher, patient and kind. She also trail rides like a dream and dabbles in western pleasure as well. She is a cross between an English Shire stallion (which is where she gets her size and her fuzzy feet) and a Thoroughbred x Standardbred mare.

Andre is a gentle giant, whose demeanor on the ground gives confidence to even the smallest riders. Andre is careful and willing to try, and teaches riders to stay tuned to the horse and get their timing just right. A former show jumper in his youth, Andre now teaches riders big and small how to achieve great things.

Maui is a friendly guy who is steady and knows his job. He can always be trusted to give a consistent pace to his fences, taking care of his riders and helping them to find their distance. Although Maui is young, he’s pretty good at letting little mistakes slide. He is a favorite among riders who are ready for their first step-up from the beginner level horses. Maui is by Won Last Stand, 2011 AQHA High Point Hunt Seat Stallion, a son of World and Congress Champion Last Detail and is out of Regal N Blue, daughter of 3 time World Champion Regal Lark. Maui has been shown to 2’9 and placed in some of the country’s most prestigious venues such as WEC Ocala and the All American Quarter Horse Congress. He has many AQHA wins, ranging from performance halter and showmanship to the hunter under saddle and over fences classes. He has qualified twice for the AQHA World Championships in the Junior Working Hunter and the Junior Hunter Hack.

Roulette is a sweet girl with many talents. Although she has spent a lot of her life as a dressage horse, she is also a fantastic trail horse and hunter, both over fences and under saddle. Those who ride her often are quite attached to her, and you can tell that Roulette really enjoys developing a relationship with people. She was introduced to jumping this year, and is now schooling nicely over crossrails.

River is a show ring veteran with miles of experience behind her. She is sired by Riverman, Reserve Champion of his Holsteiner stallion licensing and Grand Championship winner at Dressage at Devon. She is out of Point The Way by Pointmaker, an FEI dressage competitor and Oldenburg 3rd level horse of the year, with many high point awards at 4th level.

River is an incredible athlete and is more than willing to share her extensive experience with riders who are ready to learn advanced movements. Although River is retired from jumping, it doesn’t stop her from wanting to pop over a crossrail every once in a while just for fun. She is excelling as a dressage horse and seems to like her new job and all of the attention that goes along with it. River is currently showing at 3rd level but is schooled to Prix St. Georges.

Joey, a grandson of Kentucky Derby winner Thunder Gulch, had a much shorter and far less remarkable career on the racetrack than some of his more well-known ancestors. Joey is much happier laying in the sun and munching away at his hay. On occasion he may be bothered enough to do an honest day’s work, if there is food involved. But when you get him going over a course, he goes from Clark Kent to Superman. Joey has shown in both hunters, equitation and jumpers and does well in all three, especially for his age. We are excited to see what the next show season brings!

Cactus is at energetic, fiesty and very talented thoroughbred mare. Cactus is a granddaughter of the famous Afleet Alex, who ran 3rd in the Kentucky Derby, and was a record-setting 2 year old. After a lackluster career on the racetrack, Cactus was started in the western world, and then crossed over to show jumping. Cactus is a powerhouse over fences, and we are excited to see what Cactus can do in the show ring this year!

Nala is a big bodied, energetic mare who absolutely loves to work and play. She is out of the grand prix stallion Conte Della Caccia, mount of Swiss rider Martin Fuchs. She has a long show record up to the 1.35m jumpers, and has been in the ribbons at some of the country’s most competitive venues such as WEC Ocala and Tryon. She is a powerhouse mover, loves to jump, and is serious about her job.

Winston started his competitive career in eventing after a lackluster career on the racetrack. Under the guidance of Olympic rider and trainer Boyd Martin, Winston showed promise in his first year out at Training Level. Winston is by the stallion Malibu Moon, the most prolific son of A.P. Indy, who himself was the most prolific son of the legendary sire and 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew. Winston is out of On Me by Street Cry, winner of the 2002 Dubai World Cup.

Sienna and Breezy are half-sisters who have been partners in crime their entire lives.  They go everywhere together, and love pulling their cart around the neighborhood.  A sucker for Doritos, Breezy will do anything for you if she hears you open a bag of her favorite chips.
